General Questions

Think a service should be part of your account that isn't?

Send us email at support@adultfrontier.com and we will try to enable your account for that service ASAP whether it is anonymous ftp, mySql, or SSL.

How do I login to my control panel?

To access your account Go to http://www.yourdomain.com:2082 - replace yourdomain.com with your own domain and login to your account and type your user ID and password.

How do I test my total disk usage?

Login to your shell account and type: quota -v

How do I change my account password?

The Password Maintenance Menu allows you to change the password that you use to access your cPanel interface. Your password should be hard to guess, and changed often. To access the Password Maintenance Menu, click on the icon above the words Change Password on the main screen of your cPanel interface. Enter your current cPanel password in the blank field next to Old Password. Enter your new cPanel password in the other two blank fields, and click on Change your password now! NOTE: If the password was changed successfully, the following will appear : Attempting Frontpage Password change Found service.pwd! Changed Frontpage Password Your password has been changed!

We no longer have a re-seller program due to changes in our administration system.

 

E-mail Questions

The Email Manager allows a user to do many different tasks involving email accounts. This includes creating email accounts, removing accounts, forwarding email, and more. The following section of this documentation will familiarize you with using the Email Manager to accomplish the many different tasks that are associated with email accounts, and email account maintenance. To access the Email Manager, click on the icon above the words Email on the main screen of your cPanel interface. To learn more about using the Email Manager, go to http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cpanel/.

What is my incoming pop server?

Set your pop server to mail.yourdomain.com

What username and password should I use while setting up a pop client such as Eudora or Outlook?

Set your username as username@domain.com - using the abbreviated version of your username (ie just username) will fail with our pop3 system.

What is my outgoing smtp server?

Set your smtp server to the same smtp server of your ISP.

FTP Questions

Do virtual ftp accounts have the same permissions as native ftp accounts?

Yes they do. Beware not to give them to un-trustworthy users.

How do I enable anonymous ftp for my domain?

Send email to support@adultfrontier.com and include your username and domain name.

What will the home directory be?

Users will gain access to a directory "ftp" under your home directory and they will share your quota.

Technical Questions

How do I see how much bandwidth I have used this month?

Go to http://www.yourdomain.com:2082 - replace yourdomain.com with your own domain and login to your account. The Web / FTP Stats Menu allows you to retrieve many different statistics about your site, and the visitors to it. Here, you can view your bandwidth usage, recent visitors, FTP usage, and more. To access the Web / FTP Stats Menu, click on the icon above the words Web / FTP Stats on the main screen of your cPanel interface.

DNS Questions

If I register my own domain name which machines should I target for primary and secondary DNS?

Primary

NS1.ABLETOHOST.NET 66.111.11.148

Secondary

NS2.ABLETOHOST.NET 66.111.11.149

Can I have more than one domain under the same account?

No

If I add a new account, even though I already have one on the system, do I still pay a setup fee?

Yes

CGI Questions

What is my cgi-bin directory?

Your directory is /cgi-bin It is located above your html documents which is the /docs direcotyr.

For xecurity reasons, some scripts must not be world writeable if they are to be executed as CGI scripts.
